Historical Shrine Pass Bike Tour

This is an exciting opportunity to have a unique backcountry experience in one of Colorado's most historic and scenic areas. We will come to your hotel or you could meet us at our shop.  We will shuttle your party to the top of Vail Pass. Once there, we will outfit you with all the supplies  you will need, including your Giant full suspension mountain bike, helmet, and  maps.  

From there you will gradually climb through the beautiful Rocky Mountains to  the top of Shrine Pass, about a two-mile ride.  
Once at the top you will head down one of the oldest logging roads in the Rockies to the historical town of Red Cliff. This is a 12-mile coast on a plush full suspension mountain bike…yum!!!  

You will finish under the bridge (at right), then on to Mango's Mountain Grill where you can reward your accomplishment with a beverage and a fish taco. That is right, a fish taco in the Rockies, and they are quite tasty!  Don't forget to tell our friends at Mango's that “Tommy from Bike Valet” sent you (Tommy’s official name).  You might just get an extra shot in your margarita!!  By the way, if you recognize the bridge, don't be alarmed, it has made appearances in countless feature films and TV advertisements.

This ride may seem like a daunting task but the climb is mellow, the scenery is amazing, and the experience is unforgettable.    So, enjoy the ride and keep an eye out for the deer, elk, and 
even a moose!!

The ride takes two to four hours, depending on how long you take to ascend to the top of Shrine pass, or how many stops you make to take advantage of the countless photograph opportunities!!
